Our Background
A local building contractor
in South Wales
Baileys Build is run by Martin Hill and based in Ebbw Vale. We handle brickwork, new builds, and general building work across Blaenau Gwent, Newport, Cardiff, Swansea, and the valleys.
A good build comes down to three things: knowing the trade inside out, turning up when you say you will, and straight talking from start to finish.
Our Values
How we work on site
Whether we're building a whole house or just doing the blockwork, we always work the same way.
Clear communication
You deal directly with Martin. We sort out any issues with drawings or materials quickly and honestly.
Trade craftsmanship
We take pride in our work. Plumb walls, clean cavities, and neat pointing.
Sticking to the schedule
We know other trades are waiting on us. We plan properly and keep consistent numbers on site to hit our deadlines.
Clean and safe sites
Materials are stored properly, waste is cleared, and we work safely to protect everyone on site.
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to common questions about our building services, pricing, and how we work.
What areas do you cover across South Wales?
We are based in Ebbw Vale and work throughout Blaenau Gwent, Merthyr Tydfil, Newport, Cardiff, Caerphilly, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Swansea, and the South Wales valleys.
What do you need from me to price a job?
Send us your architectural drawings, structural calculations or a scope of work, along with the site location and your target start date. If you have a full tender pack or bill of quantities, email it over to martin@baileysbuild.com.
Do you take on labour-only or labour-and-materials packages?
We can work on either basis. For brickwork and blockwork, we regularly quote labour-only for developers supplying materials, or full supply-and-fit packages with plant and materials included.
Can you fit structural steel beams and knock through walls?
Yes. We handle structural alterations, internal load-bearing wall removals, installing RSJs on concrete padstones, and underpinning, coordinating with your structural engineer and local building control.
